nothing has happened ever
picked up some original comics this fortnight, one at a new store - miramade - and the other at smashcon. i love getting self-published stuff, its so fun. not just the contents itself, but also seeing how people print things, having a physical copy of something original and made for a small audience, getting something part of the local scene. missed out on a zine fair because of smashcon but theres always more in the year. i also checked out cockatoo comics which just opened in newtown, its a cute place.
i've joined 3 jams this month and have only worked on one a little... lol i knew it would maybe be a push but it's nice to have short term goals to aim for. the appendix n jam will probably be a stretch for me to get something finished, but the other two i think i can manage.
writing on the game picked up and then... didn't. have been considering if maybe i do actually need to go back on adhd meds lately because man my concentration is hard to keep consistent, even when its stuff like this that i want to work on. probably a good idea to try investigating that again. regardless, seeing how beautiful this game looks made me realise that putting 3D stuff in the game isn't necessary to make it fun and interesting and will also just make me delay it a further 1 million years. so we're back to my original idea of it just being purely 2D and having a text focus - will this turn off potential audiences? yes but reading no one is going to buy your game reminded me actually nothing matters ever so i'll do what i want.
studying next year is looking more likely so my life will be put on hold for a while... again... man do i always sound so depressed when writing these? lol. its ok other aspects of my life are moving forwards in good directions which is new and crazy that its actually real so even tho i will be glued to a desk for work and study for the next two and a half years i will at least be coming out of it with a lot gained. here's to progress in life?
edit: forgot to add i added something to the projects page thats just a fun and simple thing go check it out :). that page is also ugly atm because i havent cleaned up the rest of it, just slapped that on and called it a day. if you want to learn how to make a pagedoll, i learnt it from this tutorial
